Jerry Hoeke, 65, of Kenosha passed away at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee, on Wednesday, September 30, 2009, with his loving family by his side.

Born in Kenosha on December 10, 1943, he was the son of the late Frederick and Victoria (Hlapchik) Hoeke. A lifelong resident of Kenosha, he was a 1962 graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School.
On April 1, 1965, he entered the United States Army, serving in Viet Nam from August 1, 1966 until April 14, 1967, when he was honorably discharged as a Sergeant E5.
 
On March 2, 1974 he married Linda Nevoraski Aalto at St. Mary’s Lutheran Church.

For 31 years Jerry was employed by S. C. Johnson Co. in Racine. In 1998 he was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Along with his wife, Linda, they helped organize the M.S. Walk in Kenosha for 4 years. In September of 2008, he was also diagnosed with Lou Gehrigs Disease. He fought hard for himself and others to live a good life and learn to cope with these diseases.
Jerry was a member of Lord of Life Lutheran Church.
 
He was an avid NASCAR Fan, especially retired driver Richard Petty. Jerry enjoyed spending time with his family and watching a great Packer game.
Surviving are his loving family, his wife of 35 years, Linda; his two daughters, Amanda Jean (Tommy) Robinson and Debra LeeAnn Aalto; two special grandchildren, Aleesha Paige Koslica and Mikal Jeffrey Robinson, all of Kenosha; his faithful companion, Snoopy; a brother, Fredric Hoeke of Albuquerque, NM; and many other relatives and special friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Bob Hoeke; sister, Virginia Campagna; and two sisters-in-law, Janet Hoeke and Barbara Hoeke.

Aileen Cooper (Kangas)

Jerry's daughter Amanda is married to my grandson, Tommy.  He was a wonderful man and is very dearly missed by friends and family.  Aileen (Cooper) Kangas
