Charles Upham passed in 2006.  Rest in peace fellow classmate.

Charles Upham, 66, passed away April 19th, 2006 at Brookside Care Center. Born in Kenosha on March 3, 1940, he was the son of Chester and Millie (Patitucci) Upham.  He was a lifelong resident of Kenosha except for 2 years when he lived in Madison for treatment after a serious accident in 1954.  He attended Mary D. Bradford High School.  He went to University Extension after graduation and studied under George Pollard. He was well known for his oil paintings.

He sold and donated many paintings over the years.  He pained a variety of subjects.  Chjarles won an award for the Eagle he painted for America Bank entitled "Fly High". Many of his paintings hang around the city, as well as Brookside Care Center, where a large landscape is displayed in the front entryway.  Chuck loved painting wildlife.  Besides painting he enjoyed watching sports, the Green Bay Packers, playing cards, reading and ancient history.  Chuck had a bird feeder outside his window and he loved to watch the birds that came to feed.

He was survived by his mother Millie, a sister Judy Winship and a good friend, Paris Truax.  He was preceded in death by his father and his twin sister, Rosalie Heineman.
