1944 - 2018

Peter J. Pawlowski, 73, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, Monday, April 30, 2018, at his residence.

He was born on Nov. 18, 1944 to the late Walter and Virginia (Graziano) Pawlowski in Kenosha. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School. He received his BA and MA degrees from UW-Whitewater.

On Aug. 2, 1969, he married Margaret M. Becker in Kenosha.

Peter taught special education at Horlick and Case High Schools in Racine for 34 years, retiring in 2001.

Peter was a President of Home and School at St. John's the Baptist in Paris, Wis., he was on St. John's Parish Council, coached the St. John's girls' basketball team and coached the girls team of Lakeland Little League.

Peter enjoyed gardening, golf, all sports and most important spending time with his grandchildren.

Peter is survived by his loving wife Margaret, his daughters Tonya and David Naylor of Kenosha and Erin (Michael) Shefky of Racine, his grandchildren Tessa, John, Hogan and Molly and a sister Karen Vincer.

He is preceded in death by his granddaughter Noelle and a brother Walter.

A Celebration of Life for Peter will be held on Monday, May 7, at 5:30 p.m. at Circa on Seventh (4902 – 7th Avenue) with dinner to follow. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4 p.m. until the time of service. Memorials would be appreciated to Noelle's Treasure Box, Inc. Rest in Peace fellow classmate

So sorry to hear of Peter's passing we grew up in the same neighborhood and were classmates from Southport elementary on.  He was a great guy quiet and reserved but always fun to be around.  RIP my friend.

Carolyn Berg (Lucas)

Pete was a groomsman in our wedding.  I remember him always having a friendly smile and gentle way.  He will be missed.

Grew up with Pete. his brother Wally and sister Karen. Pete was a great guy and a heck of a ball player. RIP my friend-- Memories of our days in the Southport neighborhood will always be with me.
