Dear, Dear Diane.  Always so much in love with Doug!  Even though she left school in Fall of sophmore year to marry Doug, when that is how it was done, it proved to be the right thing for them as they went on to have two beautiful kids and fabulous marriage and Diane achieved educational accomplishments that she barely let us even know about.  She was a great mom and a super friend, never not a part of everything we did.  We lost her just days after our 30th class reunion, which she helped organize and actually was at the registration table at the Eagles Club.  What a shock and what a loss that she died so suddenly.

What I remember most about Diane is staying overnight at her home above her Dad's photography studio on 63rd Street, when we were in Junior High and freshman year.  She had a gaggle of sisters and I had none, so it was estrogen city and I was totally amazed at that energy.  I had four testosterone driven brothers and a total of nine male cousins.  Diane's sorority is what we used to call it!  She taught be to "bop" to the music on American Bandstand, which we would crank up on the giant television with the tiny screen.  And she taught me the cha-cha.  I will be forever grateful as I am still dancing.

Diane was a treasure of sincerity and love.  We lost her way too soon.  Maybe it is a blessing that she began her adult life so young.
