Marvin “Marv” Henry Clark, Jr. of Raleigh, North Carolina passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at the age of 81. He was born on March 13, 1944 in Kenosha, Wisconsin where he grew up the oldest of four children.
After graduating from Bradford High School in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Marv enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served 1962 – 1966. He tracked submarines in San Salvador, Antiqua where he spent lots of time on the beach and had a perpetual sunburn. Marv enrolled in the University of Wisconsin on the G.I. bill and graduated with degrees in Marketing and Electrical Engineering. Marv utilized his engineering acumen in selling printed circuit boards across the United States and internationally. He was always a top earner at various companies including Circuitwise and Westwood Associates. Marv was an athlete growing up, playing both basketball and football which he enjoyed watching as an adult. Go Packers! Marv traveled to Las Vegas and other top courses to enjoy a round of golf with his school chums where he also developed a perpetual sunburn. Marv was a founding member of a group of guys who went to Pinehurst for a golfing weekend every June for the last 25 years.
Marv is survived by his wife, Barbara “Babs” Clark; son, Geoffrey Clark and wife, Claudia; son, Zachary Clark; and stepdaughter, Darcy Baldridge and husband, Eric. He is survived by his sister, Nancy Carroll, and her husband, Mike; grandchildren are Zane Clark, Riley Clark, Hannah, and her husband, Matt, Wrightington, Avery Baldridge, Emma Baldridge, and Max Baldridge; great-grandson, Ares.
Marv is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Phyllis Clark; his sister, Patricia Blue; his brother, Tim Clark; and his former wife, Janet Moyer (Geoff’s mother).
Marv was the life of every party. He enjoyed life to the fullest and as Frank Sinatra sang “did it his way.” He had life-long friends who loved him. He made everyone around him feel special. There will never be another Marvelous Marv.

Such sad news. Have known Marvin since Bain elementary school. He was my first crush! It was in fifth grade. Always a fun loving, funny kid. Full of life and jokes. Condolences to his family.
