
Ronald Kent Pierce
April 3, 1944 - September 6, 2024
The family of Ron Pierce mourn the loss of a husband, father, grandfather, and brother following a long and debilitating battle with lewy body dementia. Ron was born in Chicago Illinois to Earl (Red) and Jean Pierce. Ron was the middle child of three boys, oldest, David (Linda) who reside in Venice, Florida, and younger brother, Dr. R. Scott who resides in Pleasant Prairie.
The Pierce family moved to Kenosha in 1957 where Ron graduated from Mary D. Bradford in 1962.
Ron attended DePauw University, his parents alma mater, later graduating from Western State College, Colorado where he received a BA in Political Science and an MA in American History.
Ron enlisted in the Army in 1966 to fight in the Vietnam conflict. He earned the rank of a 1st Lieutenant, Infantry Platoon leader and Company Executive Officer. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for his meritorious service in Vietnam during the 1968-1969 offensive and was honorably discharged in May 1969. It was because of his leadership and sacrifices he made to our country, he was buried with full military honors at the Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver CO, surrounded by many of his military brothers and sisters, many who paid the supreme sacrifice in defending our country.
Ron is survived by his wife Debbie (Lakewood, CO) daughter Julia (Parker), grandbabies Phoebe and Dorian and three children from a previous marriage, Jenny, Brad and Chris.
Ron will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Ron who was an avid sailor....."May the wind always fill your heavenly sails!" REST IN PEACE FELLOW CLASSMATE.

Ron and I were swim team teammates and nieghtbors. I haven't seen him since we got together after we were both seperated from active duty in the US Army. He was a good man and a true hero for his leadership in combat during Tet. I offer my condolences to his brothers, Dave and Scott. RIP Lt,
