In Memory

Harold (Ace) Lucas

Harold "Ace" Lucas, age 77 of Kenosha passed away on Thursday, March 11, 2021.  He was born October 21, 1943 in Ocanto, Wis. a son of the late Ralph and Arleen (Kafka) Lucas. He received his education in the schools of Kenosha.  He was born Harold Lucas, but most people knew him as "Ace".  On September 5, 1981 he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Marsha Gerou.  He was employed as a welder at Ladish Tri- Clover for 33 years.  After retirement he worked at Mapelcrest Country Club for a few years and then worked for the City of Kenosha for 7 years.

Ace was a member of the Kenosha Car Club, Mis-shifts Car Club, WI/IL Border Crossovers VTX Owners Association, Partiot Guard Riders and the Warrior Watch. He was a person who was not shy and who loved attention.  He absolutely embraced life and lived it to its fullest.  He enjoyed riding his motorcycle any time possible, until he was no longer able due to his Parkinson's Disease.

He loved sitting in his garage with a beer and a neighbor, just chatting and enjoying their company.  Ace could strike up a conversation with anyone, and relished talking to people, sharing stories and sharing pictures of his life. Ace also cherished his 1965 Chevy El Camino, taking it to every car show he possibly could. He won a trophy at nearly every car show he attended and he proudly displaed them in his garage. He took great pleasure in cruising in his El Camino with his grandson, Ethan. He loved Waylon Jennings and shared his love of Waylon with his granddaughter, Chloe. He also enjoyed dancing, espically the Polka.  He would drag anyone who knew how to Polka out on the dance floor with him. Above all else, he loved his family.  He was a devoted husband and father.  He was also the World's Best Papa to his grandkids.  They were his pride and joy.

He is survived by his wife of almost 40 years, Marsha; his children, Joshua (Stephanie) Lucas, Crystal (Matthew) Leys, Monica Leek and Tim Lucas; siblings Ronny, Ray, Dee, Mary, Chris and Rosalie.

REST IN PEACE FELLOW CLASSMATE.

You were a GREAT  Brother-In-Law & Friend.  In addition to that, I was proud to be one of your  'Harem Girls'.   Thanks for introducing me to Ray and being our Best Man at the wedding.  We'll think of you at every future car show we attend but none of them will be the same without you and your El Camino.  Also thanks for all the motorcycle rides - You were the absolute coolest !!!!!

I am so sorry to hear about ACE, it was a shock.  I remember him at Lamb school, in the 5th grade.  We didn't live too far apart.  The last time I saw him was at our 50th Class Reunion.  My deepest condolence to Ray and his family.  Until we meet again my friend.  Glen

I was pleased to be invited to join Ace's "Group" of Ladies, known as his "Harem". I guess, I, took a special interest in him, since, my Mom, also, had Parkinson's Disease. Altho I never knew him in Elem , Jr. High, or HS, we met yrs. later, thru my old G/F & Classmate, Carolyn Berg/Lucas. Had a handful of Fun, outings, @ Carl's Pizza. In the beginning Ace rode his motorcycle there, & offered us rides. Great memories, of a very kind, caring friend. RIP, Ace. ..............Barb  Aune Keebler
