After spending 39 years representing workers in the Midwest I retired from the United Food & Commercial Workers Union. We now spend most of our time in Florida although Wisconsin summers bring us back to Kenosha.

Had a stroke last January thankfully my wife found me and I was able to receive the miracle drug TPA which cleared up my paralysis and left me with a small speech impediment which was corrected with therapy. After carotid surgery and 2 stents in the right coronary I have been told I am as good as old.

Made it another year change in lifestyle seems to be helping as last round of tests was all good!

Change in plans we are now selling our home in Pleasant Prairie and moving full-time to Florida. We will visit in summer as our daughter is getting our home in PP and our son lives in Madison this is the first time we will be down to one home since 1976.

School Story:

I too have many fine memories of the activities mentioned by others that we all enjoyed while at Bradford. Although some of my fondest memories are of hanging out at Schmalfeldts Cities Service station on 7th Ave and 75th St. We fine tuned our cars for runs on So. 7th and other places as well as the 1 block 58th St noon hours. Having not lost that spirit I still own a warmed over 401 AMC Javelin and am restoring a 48 Nash Ambassador coupe.

It was a wonderful era to grow up in and Kenosha was a great place to do it.

Sharon was my next door neighbor from 75 to 92 our families became close and had many good time together

hadn't seen her since her husband Al passed away. RIP dear friend.

Jerry and I go way back to early Sunday school days lost touch for many years then saw and caught up with him at Kenosha day in Florida a few years ago. Always a great guy RIP my friend.

Just read that Joe Piller passed away recently while he hadn;t registered on our site he was a classmate. Ran into him several times around Kenosha. Nice guy. Rest in Peace Joe.
