Keith and my former husband, Ken Hansen, were best friends since childhood, growing up together in Pleasant Prairie and attending Prairie Lane Elementary School. Keith was our best man at our wedding in 1965. Since there doesn't seem to be a yearbook picture of him available, I have posted a photo of him taken at our wedding.
Below is a photo of Keith on his motorcycle that was sent to me by his son, Brett. Ken and Keith loved to ride their motorcycles.
In 1972 they rode together to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota. Here are some photos of that trip (provided by Keith's son, Brett Stauder):
It was common for Ken and I to get together with Keith and his wife Cheryl to play cards (often we would meet at Keith's parent's home and the whole Stauder family would sit around the card table -- really a lot of fun!). We also enjoyed getting together to sing at least once a month with the Stauders and other friends. My husband played guitar and the rest of us would sing our hearts out! Lots of good memories :)
Keith was a fun-loving man with a good heart.
He is missed.
